What doesn’t fit, still belongs.

Back in 2014, Soren stretched his ears for the first time. Not to stand out, not to fit in, but because it felt honest. He searched for jewelry that matched that feeling. Most of what he found felt wrong: pieces that looked sharp but felt rough, or designs with an edge but no intention. So he started making his own. At first, it was just for himself. Then for a few friends. Then, eventually, for a community of people who saw body jewelry the same way he did. Not as a look, but as a form of self-definition.

THE PUSHBACK

When nothing fits, you build your own.

In 2018, Soren opened a small workshop in Asia. No investors. No shortcuts. Just a stubborn belief that better was possible. He spent years refining designs, navigating suppliers, and learning how to make jewelry that actually respected the body it touched. It wasn’t easy. But that wasn’t the point. PunkYouth grew quietly, piece by piece — built for misfits by a misfit. A brand shaped by the tension between personal identity and outside expectations. A slow rebellion, not a loud one.
