I left a review previously praising these earrings after I had tried them on. Unfortunately, the first time I went to actually wear them out, the amethyst broke after they fell off the hoop and onto the floor. I could not find the part that broke off so my solution was to break the other one so it looked intentional. These were the earrings I was most excited to wear, so it is quite disappointing that they are this fragile.
